    Story

Eric Pepper passed away on the 23rd May 2019. He was known and loved by many people and organisations across the city, but it's been found that he didn't have a next-of-kin. Hull City Council are organising a Public Health Funeral for Eric, but we are aware that there are many people who would like to attend or be part of a celebration of his life, and pay their respects to the man who brought smiles and happiness to those he spent time with. The money raised will be spent on providing a proper funeral with more space for us all to say goodbye, or a wake in which we can gather to remember Eric and give him the colourful send off we feel he deserves.

A local funeral director, Steve from J Ribbons Funeral Services, has come forward and offered his services for free. This means that the money raised here can pay for the crematorium fees and for his coffin, and with the generosity of Steve and his staff, and a local celebrant (who are all offering to work for nothing), Eric will have the respectful send off he deserves. He will travel by Hearse to the crematorium, have a full service, and then everyone is welcome to a wake at Harrison Park, Hall Road, for a joyous celebration of his life.
