As part of my 40 things before turning 40 I am taking part in an inflatable 5K on the 3rd September 2022. I have decided to use the opportunity to raise money for a charity called Power The Fight.

Power The Fight was founded by Ben Lindsay out of a deep belief in the value of human life and the importance of community. Their work is a response to a growing need for all parts of society to take responsibility for one another.

Launched in 2019, Power the Fight is an award-winning charity which tackles violence affecting young people. They create co-produced/co-designed long-term strategies for sustainable structural change and act as a link between the community and policy makers. Most of their work is with families, churches, faith groups and community organisations who want to be equipped to engage with youth violence issues in their context.

They are doing a great work empowering communities to end youth violence and I would love to support them more. Every penny counts for them, whether big or small it will make a difference.
