For one of my GCSE options I chose to take the Leadership course my school offers. Leadership is focussed around learning skills to become a good and fair leader and putting those skills into action by doing events and projects. One of the main projects we get given the chance to take part in is a mission trip to Romania to work with the amazing Christian charity Cry in the Dark.

Cry in the Dark's incredible work has truly changed the lives of the people in Romania for the better. They work in the most impoverished regions of Romania helping young adults with life limiting illnesses and disabilities. They also care for orphans with disabilities and learning difficulties.

Cry in the Dark additionally run a day care centre which provides fun activities for children who are also suffering from debilitating illnesses. The centre also provides an outreach medical team who go into the community to offer care and support for the Romanian people.

The trip to Romania was one of the reasons why I took the Leadership course and I have been looking forward to going since I chose the option. However to make this trip possible I need to raise £850 to fund my trip to Romania. So I decided to set up a JustGiving page but will also be doing Bake Sales and little jobs to raise the money as well. All of the money will go towards the trip and some of the money will go to charity Cry in the Dark and towards the projects we will do for the local community whilst in Romania.
