Weʼre raising £500 to The Hospice of St Francis - Trek Sahara

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Last year my mum decided to take an early retirement from the NHS after working there for almost 20 years with plans to kick back and relax for a while before trying to find a local part time job. Meanwhile I was coming to the end of my sixth form studies and as university didn’t appeal, I was searching for jobs myself. I‘d scrolled through countless numbers of pages until I saw an advert for work at the hospice. It was the job my mum had always dreamed of. I quickly called her to make sure she would get her application in and within a few weeks she was absolutely thrilled to be beginnig a new career in such an amazing place.
6 months later she and I have decided to challenge ourselves by agreeing to take part in the trek sahara fundraiser which raises money for the hospice. The work that they do at the hospice is phenominal and I’m sure that many of us have a great appreciation for the staff and volunteers who help so many patients and families in the most difficult times.
The hospice of St Francis requires over £5 million pounds per year to provide the outstanding and free service it is well known for. 80% of this money comes from the donations and fundraising efforts of the local community. Please help us to raise as much as possible for this great cause, any donation is tremendously appreciated!
