What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

This November Mum and I are taking on "Trek Sahara" to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis. The work the hospice does is absolutely outstanding and it really makes a huge difference to people with life long or terminal illnesses. The support they provide to both inpatients and families at these unbearably tough times is incredible and our reason for wanting to help.

The hospice of St Francis requires over £5 million pounds per year to provide the outstanding and free service it is well known for. 80% of this money has to come from the donations and fundraising efforts of the local community.

The hospice has made such a positive impact on so many peoples lives so please please help us to raise as much as possible for this great cause, any donation is tremendously appreciated! Many thanks in advance for your kind support, Erin Laste & Sam Healy.

Day eight - up bright and early to catch a flight home. We really don’t want to leave yet!! We will never ever forget this amazing experience. We have met so many incredible and inspiring people over the past week and we are going to miss them so much! I can’t express how much I’d recommend anyone to take part in something like this in the future. It is such a wonderful way of supporting this fantastic charity that helps so many 💜👼🏼🌸

Day seven - Last day today and we are finishing off the painting and gardening we started yesterday. The hallway has been finished and we are working on a classroom today. Thanks to Chris (one of the trekkers who happens to be an art enthusiast) we were able to leave behind a mural of the Hospices logo with our loved ones names in. An emotional end to what’s been a beautiful experience.
