My name is Erin. I am 13 and a half and this summer I will be embarking on an Ocean Youth trust voyage.

I have been sailing for a year and have loved every minute of it. A month ago, my RYA group went on a yacht and ever since I have dreamed of going on a sailing voyage.

We got in touch with the Ocean Youth Trust, and they informed us there was a cancellation.

I will be sailing on the OYT`s Alba Explorer /Ventura for 6 nights. We will be starting at Oban and finishing at Greenock. I will be able to complete my RYA competent crew course, which will open many more opportunities for me in the future. The voyage may even count towards a duke of Edinburgh award.

In order for me to go on this exciting trip, I will have to raise £800 to pay for the voyage, travel expenses, and kit. I had £100 from my savings. I am raising funds in different ways. I work cleaning a holiday house, I play fiddle and have started busking. I have also learned how to tie a monkey fist knot and am using it to make dog toys and earrings to sell.

As I got this place from a cancellation I have a very short time to raise this money. I need to have paid for the voyage completely by the end of July so I will be grateful for any donations.
