I've raised £1026 to support the outstanding care Ernie is receiving from Ward L43 at LGI.

On the 7th August, our wonderful colleague Sophia gave birth to the beautiful Ernie at only 26 weeks, weighing just 2 pounds and suffering from numerous medical conditions. Since then, Ernie has been cared for at ward L43, the neonatal unit at LGI. Both Sophia and her husband Edwin have nothing but praise and thanks for this amazing place, which is continuing to give Ernie the care and support he needs. To support this fantastic facility, which is always in need of funds, our staff have decided to do a walk in celebration of Ernie. We will be taking on a ‘Marathon walk’ - 26 miles: one mile for each of the 26 weeks before he was born. The walk will take place on the 16th October, starting and ending in York. The final 5 miles will take place in York, where other members of staff will join us for the final leg. Please support us in raising money for such an amazing place - whatever amount you are able to give will be greatly appreciated. Everyone at All Saints and North Rigton Fellowship are willing little Ernie on - every step of the way.
WE DID IT! We managed to complete the walk in 9 hours and were supported by Sophia’s Mum, Dad and sister for the last 5 miles. Thank you all for your donations and support so far - we will keep donations open for the next week to raise as much as we can for the ward!
The staff at North Rigton Primary School are supporting us on our walk by completing their own 26 challenges:
Cath will be performing 26 acts of kindness.
Karen and Bonnie (her cockapoo) have completed 26 jumps around a dog agility course!
Jodi has run a full 26 mile marathon over a day of her visit to Greece!
Emma will be walking 26 miles around the Otley-Harewood loop.
We hope you can support the staff at North Rigton in their 26 challenges by giving to this page.
