Like so many NHS departments, ours has been under pressure to provide all our staff, from receptionists to cleaners to nurses and doctors, with the protection necessary to save lives. During the COVID 19 crisis, our need to use scrubs ( protective clothing normally worn during surgical procedures) has gone up 10 fold to ensure all our staff and their families, are protected from the virus during the day, and don’t take it home to their families at night.

Thanks to this commitment to the safety of our staff, our stocks are running low, and we will run out of scrubs on many occasions. I am a senior Consultant in the Department, and want to ensure the continued safety of the staff.
