I've raised £3000 to Fund a 'Thank You' Party for NHS and carer staff

East Thurrock Community Association (ETCA) are organising a 'Thank You' Party for local NHS workers and carers in our local community. The event will take place on Saturday 21st August from 7pm til Midnight.
The ETCA is hosting the party and is putting the first £1000 behind the bar for drinks. We are asking for donations from the community so that we can fund the drinks for the whole night for our local heroes. Our DJ; Malcolm Kitts has offered to do the music free of charge. He himself was in Basildon hospital last year in an induced coma due to Covid and would very much like to thank the NHS staff at Basildon for saving his life!
We would also like to provide a buffet as well if we get enough donations.
We are a non profit local community association and our main hall has capacity for 250 so we are hoping to make it a great night for our local NHS staff and carers.
We are in contact with some nurses from Basildon Hospital who are very appreciative of our idea and will help us promote the party and we will be going around the local care homes to also invite our local carers who have also done a wonderful job in very difficult circumstances.
Your donations will really help us put on a very well deserved party for all our hard working health and care workers. It would be great if none of our NHS workers and carers needed to buy a drink all night. Please be generous and donate to buy these local heroes a drink or two for everything they have done for us.
We previously advertised that we were doing this last year and we raised £205 but obviously due to the pandemic going on longer than anyone expected we had to postpone the idea. The money we raised last year has been transferred to this appeal. Thank you to everyone who donated last time!
