Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We started the EUPanelWatch campaign because of a growing frustration with the persistent lack of diversity of speakers at events in Brussels, the heart of the European Union. We want to see an end to all-male panels and more gender equality especially, but also more diversity of colour, age, ability and more.
Our argument is simple: We need better, more diverse debates that empower and inspire the current and next generation of leaders. Only then can we achieve an inclusive, sustainable and prosperous Europe.
We are a volunteer-run, minimalist organisation. Funds we seek are always for concrete and meaningful purposes.
This is how we intend to use these funds:
1. On materials, like printing our reports, to help spread our message
2. On costs related to hosting an event, like renting microphones
(£200 (~€230) is the minimum amount one can seek to raise on justgiving.com)

About the fundraiser
EUPanelWatch is a campaign for better and more diverse debate. First we highlight Brussels' failures (and successes) to give audiences diverse perspectives. Then we seek to empower change. We believe events should be arenas for change, not passive reflections of the status quo.
