Story

In 2011, I joined Inverkip Cubs, looking for fun and adventure with my friends. As I’ve become older, I have experienced so much through being a scout and I am now an explorer. I never expected to gain so much from being a scout and never imagined I would be selected to represent West of Scotland scouting at such an amazing as the World Jamboree in West Virginia in 2019.

As part of this event, I'll be one of many thousands of scouts from across the world, and I'll be learning about new cultures and sharing experiences with people who I might have nothing in common with except a passion for scouting. I imagine we will find we have a lot more in common as the days go by (and a lot of differences as well).

Scouts has given me so much which has helped with my confidence and ability to deal with many situations, so much so that I feel now is the time to give back to others. I want to use the next two years to work on my skills and volunteer to help other scouts to gain the same experiences.

I am passionate about helping others and sharing what I have learned during my various activities and hope that you can help me to achieve this goal through participation in the 2019 World Jamboree.

I will be working on many events such as running tuck shops and fundraisers so I will be extremely active within my community. As a supporter you will of course get an invite to any of the events I hold.

Thank you in advance for anything that you can donate.
