Story

This year the cycling challenge will be to climb the height of Everest - 8848m - in a single bike ride on the 5th October!

We will be climbing the Rocca Romana hill behind Trevignano on the shores of Lake Bracciano. We will have to make the climb around 50 times and we estimate that this will be around 250km of distance over 15 hours or so.

We will be making our attempt on the 5th October 2019!

For more information on 'Everesting' please see the video clip below:

We are asking that members of school community pledge 1 Euro towards the Everesting challenge - enabling us to beat out target of 1000 Euros!

The ZOA charity supports an orphanage, in Serenje, Zambia and was founded in 2004 by a former teacher at our school called Kevin Gilbert. He had worked as a volunteer at a local school in Serenje and recognised a need for an orphanage to support children whose parents had died from HIV-AIDS, malaria and other poverty linked causes.

The Orphanage has gone from strength to strength and now supports 44 children providing them with food shelter and an education. Each year my school raises over 16,000 Euros which we send directly out to the orphanage.
