Story

Evie May 4 years old took ill on Friday 22nd March with Meningococcal type B. She tragically lost her fight with the infection on Wednesday 27th March.

Evie May, , was a bubbly young girl, who had only ever been ill with a cold. But tragically, the precious youngster contracted the deadly infection less than two weeks ago, and died in hospital last Wednesday just a day after being diagnosed.

As you can imagine it is a mother's worst nightmare to lose a child but this is a truly tragic story, losing a child so young and so suddenly.

Amanda Stott and Chris Morley are running the Manchester 10k run in May 2019 and are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Manchester Royal Childrens Hospital who looked after Evie and her family in this difficult time.

The run is Sunday 19th May 2019, and donations/support will be greatly appreciated for the family in this difficult time. For the people that know us, we are not the keenest of runners so this is going to be quite a challenge for us. We are aiming to complete the run in under 1 hour.

We will be meeting up on the day for the run and drinks after to celebrate this little girl.

C'mon guys and girls lets smash this...
