Story

In Peru: 54% of rural communities live below the poverty line, 33% of under 15's are working instead of getting an education and 18% of the population is malnourished. I am going on a expedition to Peru to help combat some of these issues by volunteering on projects that will have a life changing impact on the local communities. I really want to be able to do this to help make a difference to the people in the local communities lives and help them in a way that will not just temporarily relieve them but give them years of a better life.

When in Peru we will be helping generations of children and babies by building new classrooms, replanting native plants to offset environmental damage and deforestation and digging irrigation channels to bring water from the mountains to the nearby farms.

Your money will go towards the cost of the building materials, me travelling out there to volunteer and to the charities that support these projects. It will really help me along with the fundraising I am doing to try and reach the total funds I need to go on the expedition.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and find out about the work I'm planning on doing to do in 2019, Ella
