I've raised £650 to Fabians Childhood Cancer Trust

This year, I (and my best friend Kate Alexander) am finally doing Dry January in aid of my little brother Fabians charity, Fabians Childhood Cancer Trust.
Fabian was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2006 at the age of 4, after several visits to the GP with a persistent lump in his neck. For the next 8 years he would undergo several rounds of chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants and a pioneering trial in immunotherapy. Sadly, after a long and difficult fight with this disease, Fabian passed away on 11.11.14 at the age of 12.
My granddad has since set up a charity in Fabians memory, which supports families who have a child diagnosed with cancer - Fabians Childhood Cancer Trust. As a small charity, there are a few areas that we would like to fundraise for. These include making life that tiny bit easier on hospital wards: we provide treat bags to families who suddenly find themselves admitted (they include toiletries, as well as little treats), and we also provide special trips for families to places such as Legoland. Alongside this, we also provide funding for research, particularly in relapsed childhood cancer - check out my blog post on the charity website to find out a bit more about this: www.fabianstrust.org.uk/olisstory.html
Kate and I have made what we feel is a VERY sacrificial decision to do Dry January (no alcohol for a month) in the hope that some of our friends and family will feel sorry for us and sponsor us - we are aiming for £500 but it would be amazing if we could beat that!!
