Please help us raise our total to give Fable his sight back!

Fable is our 11 year old foster dog who we are caring for in behalf of Paws2Rescue. He was rescued from Romania after his owners moved house without him and was left alone all though the harsh winter, living outside and unable to see. Fable was then attacked by other dogs and was found by his rescuer hiding in a ditch. We can't imagine how scared and alone he must have felt, especially as an older dog who was vulnerable and blind, unable to see or understand what was going on around him.

despite everything he has been through, Fable is just the most amazing dog. He is gentle, trusting and incredibly sweet. But although Fable has adjusted well to life in the UK, because he is blind, the world can still be a daunting and dangerous place to him.

Fable was not born blind - his blindness is caused by bilateral cataracts, which can be fixed with surgery. Having this surgery would make a huge difference to Fable and really improve his quality of life. He is very brave and resilient, but living in a dark and scary world is no fun. Giving Fable his sight back would improve his quality of life immeasurably and mean he can enjoy his second chance at life to the full.

After everything he has been through, we would really like to help Fable by raising enough money for him to have surgery on one eye. The surgery isn't cheap - we have been given an estimate of £2000 per eye. Even having sight in one eye would be a massive improvement and mean that Fable is able to more confidently explore, enjoy and experience the world around him. Even though he is a 'senior gentleman' Fable is very healthy, fit and energetic, and we can tell he has many more years ahead of him. After everything he has been through at the hands of people, the least we can do is this simple act of kindness to repay some of the love and devotion he shows us every day. Please help us to make these years of his life the happiest they can be.
