Weʼre raising £5,000 to Help fund employment support for Ukrainians living in the UK

Story

This is an important pilot programme which potentially could help thousands of Ukraninan young people across the world prepare for life after the war. Starting with Ukranians living in London we want to adapt the Facework resources and co-design new training material for Ukranians so that when they return they can establish their own businesses and social enterprises. Will you help us fund this piliot?

As someone who supported Facework Ukraine I wanted to thank you and show you the impact your support has made. This film was recorded by one of the refugees and captures just one of the 18 evenings we have run for 45 refugees in the last few months. Next Thursday (29th June) we have a final celebration for our current co-hort and all of you would be welcome (7pm at Hatcham House). On the 30th June 4 of us from the group travel to Ukraine to share the programme to young people and teachers. Thank you again for all your earlier support.

Dear supporters - can I say a massive thank you for the very generous donations you have given to our appeal. We have now had just under £2,000 in private donations, which has now been matched by a private donor (£2,500) so in total we have £4,500. We will use this strictly on the work we are doing in South London where we have run 6 of our 10 sessions for Ukrainian refugees. We have over 20 people coming regularly and in addition to the 2 Ukrianian staff (employed by Lewisham) have 5 volunteers working to translate all the FW resources.

Thank you to all of you who have supported this project. We now have 20 Ukraine nationals attending our session at Hatcham House. see face.work/ukraine for update. We are doing a final push to see if we can meet our target of £5,000. We now have 2 staff (paid for by Lewisham) and 4 of the young people are now volunteering and we are developing new content which we will share with partners in Ukraine.
