    Story

Many, many, many children and adults in Yorkshire and in other areas of the UK often have very little or no access to the specialist support, assessment, intervention, resources and learning opportunities that they need to succeed at school, college, university and in day-to-day life.

People experiencing, reading, spelling, maths and other learning difficulties are more likely find it difficult to achieve the qualifications and work experiences they need to progress towards their goals, even though they are knowledgeable and capable. Sadly, many people also face unfair judgements about their intelligence and abilities, which affects their confidence and chances to succeed.

We aim to address this unfairness.
Not everyone will need specialist support, assessment, teaching and resources, but those who do should be able to have access to these services fairly. Your postcode, your family circumstances and cuts to funding shouldn't cause as much unfairness in education as they are doing for many people at the moment.

Yorkshire Dyslexia Network is dedicated to raising money to be able to offer these services for free or at reduced fee rates for as many people as possible.

Our assistive technology loans scheme is very popular, but it is in dire need of an upgrade. As you can imagine, laptops, reading and writing software and learning programmes are not cheap. The licence fees are often eye wateringly high.

We are also striving to provide staff training and support for schools and workplaces for free or at the lowest fee possible.

If you want to be part of creating a fairer education for all, which gives people the chance to ''learn their way', then please, please, please just give a little (or a lot!)
