I have been given the wonderful opportunity to go to Tamil Nadu, India with my school and visit Sri Jayendra school to teach young, underprivileged children conversational English (a partnership our school runs every year to show our support to the school). I will be giving up my summer to spend 3 weeks there and can already anticipate it will be an extremely memorable experience for myself and the children. I will also be taking part in a 10K run in Regents Park in May in order to help raise money for the school. The money will be paying for school fees and accommodation costs for a year for orphaned children, especially those affected by the tsunami in 2004 (averaging at £300 per child).
