As many of you know I coach my son, Oliver's Under 10's football team. This is a community club that is run by the coaches who are merely involved parents of children at the club and not paid professionals (despite our undoubted skill). Part of our responsibility to the children that attend our sessions is that they have proper equipment and facilities to use, this can range from the correct sized footballs for their age group, goals, marked out pitches with cut grass as well as a kit to wear for matches and so much more. To do this we have to look to the community to raise some of those funds and we aim to do that as much as possible in a professional manner by looking to local businesses for sponsorship's for our teams. In addition to this as a club for the all of the community, we look to community to support us in our efforts as well.

With all of this in mind, I have decided to enter into a 10 mile run on October 14th around York and I would like to use this opportunity to raise as much funds for our team the Thirsk Falcons U10's Golds as possible. Please give what you can for the team so that we can continue to offer them a valuable resource of safe, fun exercise on a weekly basis in a sociable environment with up to date equipment and appropriate matchdaywear.
