Story
Hey guys, so to start this off without boring most of you to sleep, my son's mother did something that I won't disclose due to her privacy but due to what has happened, my 6 year old son Hanley has moved in with me and as far as I can see it's going to be on a permanent basis, the only issue is, is that I haven't been given the time or chance to get the funding in place in terms of having my son live with me, it couldn't have come at a worse time either because I'm currently off work on Statutory Sick Pay and have been for 5 months, I absolutely hate asking anyone for help but until me and his mother have spoken and I'm able to out in the necessary claims to at least be able to afford everything he needs, i feel this is the only other alternative to hopefully get that small window of opportunity to not worry and have a gap where I can get things in place, this situation came out of the blue and to be frank it has been difficult for Hanley, I want to do what is right for him and will do that no matter the cost.
Thank you for reading if you've gotten this far and anything, whether you share or give, is beyond appreciated.

6 years agoI swear things are made ridiculously hard deliberately by the Government, apparently I'm in a Universal Credit area but when I put my postcode in to get it started, the website spews out nonsense saying I'm not in a UC area, then when I go onto an ESA call, they say that I'm in a UC area and can't get Old Style ESA anymore, what on earth is our Government on? How do they expect anyone to get anything sorted when all they do is fanny about? I'm beyond stressed and this is just more fuel to the fire! :(

6 years agoThe waiting game has begun, need to get his birth certificate and then send off for a form, then it's pretty much 6 to 8 weeks of waiting, hopefully in the mean time the support continues, my mom has been as helpful as she can be but she can't keep it up, so thank you to all who are sharing and helping us out, thank you so much!

6 years agoSo tomorrow, I'm being told I am able to call the Child Tax Credit and Income Support unit to put in the claims, there will be quite some time between the dates but progress should hopefully be made! My fingers are crossed I don't have to stress out over any of this anymore in the next month or so! Thank you again for helping in the meantime, I seriously appreciate it all! Sharing or giving, it means so much!

I'm a 24 year old father of 2 amazing son's, they are the both the reasons I'm trying to get healthier and get out of my physical illnesses I've come to suffer from, I want to give them everything I never had and that is worth anything to me.
