Weʼve raised £230 to help orphans and the poor in Pakistan

Funded on Friday, 7th September 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

As I am now back from my solo Adventure in Pakistan I thought it would be nice to share some pictures from my visit and all the things I managed to provide for the orphanage. every penny of your donations helped.

Before I left I knew the orphanage I was working to help had NOTHING and I mean nothing apart from the 4 walls around them. The children would walk 30 minutes every morning for water. They had no toys, not even one and were sleeping on the hard floors.

The first day I went there was very emotional it was hard to take in that these children were living with nothing but they were still so happy. We realise how lucky we and our children are...

I gave the children all a gift bag containing stationary, a fidget spinner, chocolates, toys, paints, crayons, balloons etc. Every child was beaming with just their gift bags and then I started to reveal the mountain of toys I had purchased....Dolls, Remote control cars, cricket bats, basket balls and nets, badminton sets, kites, spinning tops, educational toys, there were three black bags full of toys!! The looks on their faces I will never forget. Every child had been bought a rucksack for their studies.

As I handed these thing out the first delivery arrived...a truck full of mattresses. The children would no longer be sleeping on the floor. Also 2 bikes....the children were ecstatic! These were off loaded and the 2nd delivery truck arrived with desks and chairs. They were in disbelief and never imagined they would be helped this much.

It was dark getting dark by now and so I asked the children what they wanted to eat. They had no demands at all. I asked if they wanted pizza and they all started to shout and cheer! There and then I ordered pizza so they could all eat as much as they liked along with fizzy drinks which wasn't the norm for them.

It was time for me to leave but the children were upset. I promised them I wouldn't stop visiting. That night I broke down when I realised just what had been done for these little children and how innocent and deserving they were. My work wasn't done though I felt something major was missing. I started sourcing unknown contacts from Facebook asking fir someone to help me find someone who could fit a water pump so the children didn't have to walk 30 minutes every morning. I found someone who agreed to meet me in the morning and start the work. By 5pm the next day fresh clean water was flowing in the orphanage. The children lined up with glasses and began to drink it. It was so overwhelming and I felt emotionally drained by this point. Again I fed them all and played with them and left.

The orphanage contacted me the next day thanking me and saying it was the day for the children to visit their relatives but no one wanted to go as they had so much to do and were loving the centre. Two new children arrived and settled in straight away.

I visited many times and shown them how to play certain games. They had many talents and were showing them all off. It was truly amazing.

Before I left they invited me back and presented me with an official letter appointing me as an Official Ambassador. It was truly an honour and I will now be returning in September and be holding another fundraiser in the coming weeks.

Attached are the pictures and once again a huge thank you to everyone who donated and for your well wishes.

I am now raising funds for the next project which will be to help the poor again...orphans and the needy.

Please contribute and make the next trip as amazing as this one has been and help make those who are not fortunate enough to have the things that we take for granted.

Your contribution doesn't have to be huge but every penny will count as I go on this journey to help the less fortunate.

Thank you for all your help and support! I really do appreciate it...Lets join together to make a difference to their lives not just for a day but for as long as we can! Thanks again
