I've raised £25000 to Help Save Farfield Mill Art, Craft and Heritage Centre, Sedbergh

Nestling between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, and in the shadow of the glorious Howgill fells, Farfield Mill provides access to high-quality art and crafts as well as the complete history of weaving.
It is 25 years since the Mill was rescued from destruction and turned into a thriving community of crafts people and artists including weavers, painters, quilters and jewellers. There are now 24 separate artists and craft studios where you can watch the artists and weavers working.
The history of weaving is demonstrated through the operation of the original power looms and the demonstrations of hand weaving. The mill also contains several large galleries with ever changing artists exhibitions.
New trustees were appointed in January and want to turn the Preservation Trust into a co-operative Community Benefit Society. This would allow the community to become member owners and invest in Farfield Mill’s potential
Funds from this will not come on stream before April 2018. In the meantime we need £25,000 to carry out essential repairs and ensure we can carry on.
Your gift, however large or small, will help us ensure that our community, which is the life of the mill , can continue to inspire and delight all who have a passion for arts and crafts.
Without your help the mill will be lost forever.
