Thank you so much to everybody who has donated so generously. Thank you to those who have camped here, those who have visited either recently or even many years ago, and thank you to those who have never even been here but are friends of friends and have also donated.
Bank Holiday Monday 2016 will be a day many of us will never forget; including many campers who were here that evening.
Thanks to the many helpers, the clear up of the debris has now all been done. Most of the original frame is ok, but some is twisted and will need to be replaced. The frame is now being painted with black bitumen paint and then recladding can start.
The money raised will cover the costs of the roof sheets, the roof timbers and the paint.
So with your generosity we are hoping the barn will be back to its former glory of being the most important place on the farm ( after the kitchen that is) for hay and feed storage, tractor and machinery storage and sometime repairs, generally hanging out and of course lambing on cold winter nights.
