Story
Please support FCFC Team Blue u10s as they take on the Junior Great South Run on 20th October 2018.
The coaching team of FCFC Team Blue not only want to make playing for our team the best possible experience for the players, but also easier for the parents. Our goal is to setup a series of funds that will allow some of the financial impact to be taken away. With the help of the players, amazingly committed parents and anyone else in the community, we want to provide the squad the best opportunities they can have at the Grassroots Football stage.
KIT/EQUIPMENT FUND – There is additional kit on offer to Team Blue for all weathers, match and training specific. One example would be to provide the players with winter hats and under armor for the colder months.
As the team develop there will be additional equipment that the coaches can bring in to help build players in individual areas. Specific goalkeeper training equipment, such as a rebound net would be a valuable addition.
WINTER TRAINING – Due to the poor weather we experienced during the 2017/2018 season, there was an extended period spent training at the Arena 3G pitches in Bognor. We are unable to foresee if this will be any better next season, however we would like the cost of the 3G pitches to be covered for the players, without it falling on the parents to supplement. Additionally, we have the option to use the 3G pitches for league matches should Shrubbs be unplayable. Again, if we can cover this cost, it will allow the players to get more playing time.
TOURNAMENTS – There will again be the opportunity for Team Blue to take part in Post Season Tournaments next year. Our Aim is to attend 4-5 tournaments, including Felpham and the Butlins National tournament. If we can raise enough funds to cover these activities, we can pick some of the larger tournaments to get the players more exposure to teams from further afield.
DREAM FUND – Depending on the success of the Team Blue Fundraising, the coaching team’s dream scenario would be to take the team away to a tournament, either somewhere in the UK or ideally mainland Europe. This would be an amazing experience for the squad and would also act as thank you for all the effort they have put in over a long season. Obviously, this is a big ask, but it is good to have optimistic goals.
