Every year, as well as the Christmas Night Out, Professional and Financial Services Department usually have a Secret Santa. However, this year, we have decided to donate to a charity.

Staying with a theme of education , we have decided to train a teacher in rural Somalia / South Sudan as the quality of primary education is very poor and mostly non-existent due to a severe shortage of qualified teachers.

Therefore, I would really appreciate it if you could donate the money you would have spent on this Secret Santa gift, plus any money you would have spent on Christmas Cards for the department and help us to achieve the £150 required to train a teacher.

Laura will be collating the donations and we expect to purchase the gift no later than 9th December, to allow those that are attending the Christmas Night Out to donate then if they wish.

I hope this not only removes the inevitable stress and fear of buying someone a Secret Santa (!) but also allows our department to gift something all close to our hearts.
