Sinead and Gav will be running 30 miles each, every day for the first 7 days in February. The challenge will be taking in some of the wonderful businesses, beauty spots and trails in our local region, while being documented both via video and live streams. We not only want to raise awareness for ANDYSMANCLUB, we also want to show support for local businesses who are struggling in the local climate.

RAISING MONEY

As the charity is not on Just Giving, the Marsden Racers Business Bank Account will be utilised for all fundraising. Money raised will be distributed to the charity (charity no. 1179647) once just giving release any funds. Any cash donations will be deposited via the Club Bank Account also. WHAT IS ANDYS MAN CLUB

ANDYSMANCLUB was started after the tragic loss of Andy Roberts to suicide. As a Running club, we have many members who struggle with a wide range of mental health and we always try to encourage talking. ANDYSMANCLUB provides a safe environment for men to talk together.

Starting in Halifax, this charity has grown massively into many other areas. During the current pandemic, mental health and well being is even more precarious, and resources like this are absolutely essential. We have a target of £5000 and we would love to reach this.

Andy Roberts was loving and doting father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was an all round top guy, one of the truly nicest people.

His love for his daughter was inspirational to see and the way he looked at her and idolised her was a blessing. Sadly and tragically without any warning Andrew, at 23 years old, was taken away from all his family and friends by suicide.

On average one man every 2 hours takes his life in the UK. It’s often said a factor is that men don’t talk. Thats why we were born to break down these stigmas. At ANDYSMANCLUB you don’t have to be suicidal or have a mental health problem, we just want to get men talking.
