Story
Anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes with Polly will know how much she loves Zebra’s!
During her lockdown birthday in April, the staff at Noah’s Ark kindly sent Polly a letter (and a gift!) and introduced her to their very own Polly the Zebra. It has been love at first sight and now Polly is desperate to ensure that the zoo is able to reopen in the future so she can visit Polly and that in the interim, Polly the Zebra and all her friends remain safe, cared for and well fed. So, as we live 64 miles away from the zoo, Polly is planning to walk / run 64 miles over the next couple of months to support the zoo’s Support the Animals campaign:

This will be a huge challenge for a little 8 year old so anything you can spare to support her will be greatly appreciated!

4 years agoThis incredible little lady has just 1 mile left to go and has decided she wants to complete it at Noah’s Ark later in the month when she gets to become a keeper for the day and more importantly hands over her donations! 4 years agoJust a little update to say we are still going strong. Polly has now broken 50 miles after a little 2.5 mile walk with her sister today and she cannot wait to get back to the zoo later in the month to hand over the cheque and give Polly the Zebra her breakfast!

Polly has now been asked to officially reopen the zoo on Tuesday (although has no idea!!) - she is going to be blown away when she realises and I am so proud of the difference she will make to such a wonderful zoo!
