Story
Help us provide food parcels to families living in Masiphumelele, an informal settlement in Cape Town South Africa.
Before the lock-down 49.2% of the South African population were living below the breadline. The majority of these individuals were in informal employment and lived pay check to pay check.
As the country quickly plunged in to lock-down these informal jobs have come to an end and left millions of families with no income to feed their families.
In a country where malnutrition, HIV and TB are rife, good nutrition and hygiene are more important than ever before.
By donating just £5 you could help provide a food parcel for a family to help keep them going through these challenging times.
Your money will be used to purchase basic food items and toiletries (milk, bread, sanitary pads, soap, maize meal, nappies etc.) to create food parcels which will be delivered and distributed in Masiphumelele.
