Story

With no prospects of employment and dwindling savings, many families in N are finding themselves struggling to place food on the table during the current Coronavirus lockdown. Working with the local government, we hope to support those in need with the purchase and fair distribution of 100 bags of rice, salt and lentils within the local community. These provisions should last each family for 3-4 weeks, by which time we hope to have seen the end of the lockdown.

This project is a collaboration between the local government, who will provide information on which families are struggling within the area of B-3 and S - a local teacher and principal of HHA who is passionate about advancing his community. S' s recognition that during this difficult period, many of his pupils families were not able to feed themselves properly led him to seek a solution which would not only help his pupils but the wider community as well. He asks only for your generosity and that you accept our gratitude and the gratitude of the families you help feed.

Our target of £1500 comes from the need for 100 bags of rice (£12 * 100 =£1200), 1kg of Lentils (£1*100=£100), Salt (£0.15*100=£15) and our desire to aim high. Purchase and distribution will be undertaken in a responsible manner that encourages social distancing and are planned for the 15th-22nd June, just two weeks away!!

Thank you, stay safe and please spread the word, share this page with the world!
