Story

After 30 years living  with Crohn’s disease, I feel I have enough knowledge to hopefully help others who might be in the early uncertain stages of this chronic illness, unaware and maybe naive of what may lay ahead. Crohn’s disease can bring a lifetime of uncertainty. It has its highs and lows; many are unique to each person and every person is affected in different ways. Some people are lucky enough to control it with diet, while others go through countless operations and become disabled by it. These are the extremes and most suffers including myself are somewhere in between. Crohn’s disease is a chronic condition which will need managing until they find a cure. Cases of the disease keep growing and yet there is still no definitive cause or reason why we are affected by it.

This is my story, of my life living with all my highs and lows, the pit falls I've encountered and how I've overcome them. There's comedy, heartache, pleasure, embarrassment and pain along the way, a rollercoaster of my life to date and lessons I've learnt and passed on to you. I wish I'd had a better insight into Crohn’s when I was first diagnosed as it may have helped me, especially when it comes to diet.

If this book helps one person with Crohn’s, then it’s not written in vain! So, Stay Positive and Keep Well.

50% of all profits will go to CICRA - Crohns in Childhood Research Association. They are a UK based charity that support children and young adults with Crohns and Colitis.
