Update 10/12/2025

So that the Philippine Red Cross can continue doing their amazing work in the lead up to Christmas, I have sent all funds raised and will be closing my fundraising campaign.

My initial target was ₱100,000, but thanks to all of you, we didn’t just meet that goal, we surpassed it in record time. At current exchange rates, the total has reached an amazing ₱156,000 approximately.

I have requested to withdraw funds raised and I will be covering fees so every pound is directly sent to them.

Thank you to each and every one of you once again for your kindness.

I’m an Investment Manager based in Bournemouth in the UK, but I spent my formative years in the Philippines. Growing up there taught me resilience and compassion, values that have inspired and guided this journey.

The campaign began in the wake of two catastrophic events: Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan, which struck the Philippines in early November 2025. These disasters left entire communities without shelter, food, or clean water. Witnessing the devastation from afar, I felt compelled to act immediately.

On November 12, just a day after Super Typhoon Uwan left the country, I started this fundraising to support the Philippine Red Cross in their life-saving efforts, unsure if it would succeed but determined to try.

Over the past three weeks, the campaign has grown beyond what I imagined.

Your support reflects a shared commitment to making a tangible difference when it matters most.

The Philippine Red Cross has been at the forefront of relief operations, providing food, shelter, medical care, and psychosocial support to thousands of displaced families. Every contribution from this campaign fuels those efforts, ensuring aid reaches those who need it most.

This story isn’t just about responding to a crisis; it’s about the power of community and shared humanity.

From the UK to the Philippines, compassion knows no borders. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who stood with me in this cause.

Thank you for allowing me to share this journey. I hope it inspires others to act when the world needs kindness the most.

Felix.

Please help me raise ₱100,000 for the Philippine Red Cross to support those hit by Typhoon Uwan and Typhoon Tino.

🗓️ Fundraiser – 1st December | 19:00 Cosy Club Bournemouth, BH1 1LG

Hi everyone,

My name is Felix Apalisok, and I’m an Investment Manager based in Bournemouth.

The Philippines was once my home, and though I’m proud to be living in the UK, my heart is heavy seeing my fellow countrymen and women face such loss.

Organising a fundraiser of this scale by myself is new to me, yet the scale of Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) and Typhoon Tino’s (Kalmaegi) destruction made me want to contribute in any way I can.

I need your help.

My goal is to raise ₱100,000 (~£1,500) to donate directly to the Philippine Red Cross, helping them assist those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.

Just days ago, Typhoon Uwan forced over 1.3 million people to flee their homes and displaced nearly 500,000. Entire communities have lost their homes, safety, and sense of normal life.

The Philippine Red Cross is on the ground delivering hot meals, hygiene kits, blankets, and mental health support. They run evacuation centres, deploy emergency vehicles, and provide psychosocial care to families in crisis.

Here’s how your donation can help:

💷 £10 (~₱700) = Hot meals for 5 people

💷 £20 (~₱1,400) = Hygiene kits for 3 people

💷 £30 (~₱2,100) = Full support for a family (meals, hygiene, blankets, and care)

🎯 If we reach our goal of ₱100,000, we can provide the equivalent of approximately:

🍛 700 Hot meals

🧼 200 Hygiene kits

🏠 Full support for 48 families
