I've raised £1000 to go to Uncle Glen - Our 6 year old superhero ‘Finnbob Square Pants’ is tackling Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK!

After struggling with symptoms since 2006 my brother was finally diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis in January 2015. He has slowly become more limited. Following years of research and campaigning with the Scottish Government to provide this life changing treatment to no avail, he is now trying his best to raise the funds required so that he can hopefully receive this treatment and rehabilitation that he desperately needs. This would mean that he would be able to continue working, so that he can provide for his little boy who is due in April. His biggest fear is that he ends up in a wheelchair and unable to fully support his little boy growing up.
The treatment involves harvesting a person’s stem cells and re-introducing them into the body after the person has had almost their entire immune system wiped out through aggressive chemotherapy in order to regrow a healthy immune system. This procedure has a very high success rate if caught early enough but the more someones MS has progressed then the less chance of success.
With the current restrictions its been very hard to fundraise. Claire and I are hoping to climb Ben Nevis on May 22nd 2021 (should we be allowed, if not we shall pospond the date) as a way of trying to help raise some extra funds to go towards my brothers treatment. If you are able, please donate, so that I we can raise the necessary funds to get this treatment.
