The Ferryport Gala is an annual community event run by local volunteers which takes place every August on The Common in Tayport.

This years programme features the traditional parade from the Harbour to The Common accompanied by the Mains of Fintry pipe band, pony rides, funfair, cake competition, fancy dress competition, bouncy Castle, archerya, hot food by Kitch-Inn and Wild Fire Pizza, beer tent, tea/coffee tent, and a variety of stalls and fun activities from local groups.

In conjunction with the Gala and also located at The Common, The Tayport Highland Dancing Festival is also being held, which will attract participants and visitors from far and wide.

The purpose of raising these funds, is to cover the cost of insurance, toilet hire, licences, prize monies, equipment, etc, and to ensure that the event is successful, safe and fun.
