Story

This unique project will provide students with the opportunity to combine academic studies with a full-time MMA or Boxing training schedule, progressing them into four exciting industry pathways: Professional Athlete, University, Coaching and Industry Specific Roles (ie. judge, referee, media etc).

The Fight Sports Scholarship Programme, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company gives coaching, mentorship and guidance to 14 to 19-year-olds (many from lower socio-economic background) who have the potential to be talented young athletes with a great career ahead of them by the time they graduate from the Scholarship Programme.

The concept is to help young people focus on the positivity of a sport they can excel at, and to avoid the pitfalls of peer pressure, crime, gang culture etc.

The coaching system is designed to improve fitness, technical ability and ringcraft along with mental wellness & confidence levels in the young athletes.

The Fight Sport Scholarship Programme is designed to give all the coaching, mentoring and management needed to keep the athletes away from distractions and on the path needed to become the next generation of combat sport leaders.
