Story

It seems that everyone is setting up a crowdfunding page to ask for money for this, that and the other. So I thought I would join the club.

I don't have a sob story that will break your heart, I am just an average person, who has worked all her life, raised a family, got divorced, lost my house and trying to get on in life by returning to education to become a nurse and look after all you poorly folk out there.

Student life in your 40's is a pretty daunting task. No income, lots of expenses and no social life. I can't even remember the last time I ate cake, let alone went out for a drink with my friends. When this lovely government decided to remove the bursary and replace it with a maintenance loan, they basically handed a debt £54,000 debt to every student nurse. Working full time for 50% of the year means that it is not possible to earn an income whilst on placement. I have attempted to work extra shifts whilst on placement but having completed a 20 day straight run without a day off and almost killing myself, I decided that this probable wasn't the best decision.

So here I am, sore feet, hungry tummy, cold house and not a pot to urinate in.

Please help to fill my pot.

:)
