Story

Finlay has taken on the personal challenge to walk one million steps in 100 days to raise money to buy sports equipment, in particular a table tennis table, for his special needs school ‘Hollinwood Academy’. His challenge started on 24th May and he has already raised £1,000 at the half way point.
Finlay is autistic and suffers with hyper mobility in his joints, low muscle tone and dyspraxia. Due to Finlay’s autism he suffers with extreme anxiety which results in no self-confidence and lack of self-belief. Setting Finlay this challenge shows him that he can achieve anything that he puts his mind to.
This has not been an easy challenge for Finlay and on several occasions, he has wanted to just give up but due to the amazing support and encouragement he has received, Finlay has persevered.
