Story

My name is Evelyn and I have reached the age of 65 without ever begging for help. As such, I can't say that I'm finding this easy...but here goes.

Yours truly and 'CLARE'. (One of numerous orphaned and/or injured young gulls)

About six years ago I met with a very rare and very special lady named Caroline, who, against all odds, runs a tiny animal rescue in Cornwall. She was a photographer in London before moving to Praze-an-Beeble over 20 years ago to devote her life to the rescue, repair, and (if possible) return to the wild, of animals and birds.

These creatures appear miraculously at our door, or are rescued by us or the public, or come via vets, to be treated and loved unreservedly.

Buzzard with damaged wing.

The mammals and birds tend not to be of the 'prestige', donkey and dog variety; rather they are the creatures which many of the larger organizations don't have time for:-

Seagull chicks which fall from roofs.

Squirrels and hedgehogs and bunnies.

Injured wild birds which have little hope of flying again but which don't deserve to be euthanized for mans convenience,

The tiniest of wood mice and baby birds.

A bipedal badger and orphaned fox cubs.

'LITTLE WOOF' (Broken leg.)

A clutch of owls and even a snail called Sammy with a healing broken shell!

Any creature at all who has run out of options.

BILLY the UNIHORN, VALENTINE AND VINDALOO.

Finnigans Rainbow is entirely self-funded but animal and bird rescue numbers are up hugely and funds are scarce. Every donated penny is used to feed and home these animals, maintain and provide aviaries and runs, fund medical costs and just keep the whole thing going.

CATO CAT having his snooze disturbed by FRANCIS.

T.C. Wood pigeon. (Never a shortage of pigeons.)

'ESTELLE' (Quail with broken wing.)

If you feel that you could help in any way, we would be most grateful.

Thank you for considering a donation

Christmas has come early at Finnigans Rainbow with the delivery of TWO incubators :

Shadow enjoying the gentle heat of a Brinsea TLC Eco incubator.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to all you kind donors who have helped Finnigans Rainbow rehabilitate some of our wonderful but less fortunate Cornish wildlife. We raised our initial target of £1250 which has enabled us to buy incubators, refurbish some of our worn out aviaries and flights, cover vet bills and purchase food and medication. Of course we have an ongoing need to feed and house those who we have been unable to release back to the wild and to that end, I have re-raised the Just Giving page with an updated target.

Your continued support will allow us to continue our efforts in the care of our less fortunate creatures. A massive "Thank you" from all our furry and feathered friends!
