In memory

Story

3 years ago, I lost my amazing dad to a brain tumour. Growing up, we always talked about going to Nepal together. He was the most adventurous man and in memory of him I will be walking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal this October. This is a 3 week trek, in the Annapurna mountains where I will reach 5000m above sea level. In 2005, dad attempted the trek with a friend, however due to an avalanche they were not able to complete the trek and had to turn around and come back. My mission is to complete the circuit for him, and in doing so, raise money for Charity.

I have chosen 2 charities which the money will be split between. The first is St Elizabeth's Hospice who cared for my dad in the last few weeks of his life. They were absolutely incredible and I will be forever grateful for all their help and support. The second is for a Nepalese Charity called PHASE worldwide. My dad would often donate to this charity, particularly after the earthquakes.

I know my dad (Bill) has a special place in people’s hearts and he will live on through their memories. I am sure by raising this money, it will have a positive effect on others lives. I would appreciate any donations, however small or big.
