Story

We have been fundraising in various ways for the last year supporting our wee hero, my niece Corran Ballantyne who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Stage M at 5 years old in july 2019. Our fundraising has helped support the family throughout a very difficult time especially as mum had to give up work and dads working time was greatly reduced, helped with things such as hospital and travel expenses especially when away from home. September is child cancer awareness month and we (myself and her cousin joolee) have taken inspiration from the step up challenge, 10,000 steps daily representing 300,000 children diagnosed each year, and thought it would be nice to actively do something similar for corran as a wee treat to her to use as she wishes after sheilding in lockdown for so long and for being such a brave wee superhero, and also to give a wee bit back to one of her favourite charities as a thank you, Jaks Den which has provided a lot of support to her and her family throughout this past year, as well as raising awareness of childhood cancer. September may be childhood cancer awareness month, but for us every month has been since july 2019.
