Fellow Gunners, Thomas Burns, the Fire Mission Charity admin has volunteered to try with your help to raise money for a Start Pack for Humans!!! Normally referred too as a defibrillator!

We are all aware of the sad passing of our fellow Gunner and Fire Mission friend Tony Henderson. We would like to equip a local nursery in the Bentley & Cusworth area, near to where we hold our annual Fire Mission event, with a Defibrillator in Tony's name. The defibrillator will be accessible to the whole community.

Survival rate for those who have early intervention using a defib is around 70%. I know that there are many calls on your hard earned Sheckles these days. But if everyone on the Fire Mission Facebook site donated £1-2 we could easily reach the 2K approx to supply and fit this piece of life saving equipment, which even if it saves 1 person will be priceless. I will post further on the donation process, and keep it constantly bumped on Fire Mission Facebook site!!!
