    Story

    Hello everyone,

We wanted to reach out to raise money for the tragedy that has happened in the Algave over the last few weeks. Especially in the area of Picota which was hit really badly.

Fires have swept through the beautiful area and surrounding areas, taking people’s homes and livelihoods with it over night.

After hearing of the news directly from friends living locally in the area that have lost there home we wanted to set up this page to help raise money to buy building material and tools to rebuild homes quickly before the winter comes.

Picota is a diverse community with people coming from all over the world to live in the beautiful natural forest hills. With many other people coming to spend time there on holiday and soak in the beauty. If we all chip in hopefully we can help them build the land back to it’s former beauty with added fire prevention.

Big or small, any help would be appreciated and life changing.

please share this page and thank you for any help.

    Thank you

      - Roof insulation for the place we are staying right now; - A few hand tools and a wheelbarrow; - A tent that we lived in on the first month after the fire and that now can be used by you ! We still have some money left from the donations which will be used on necessary tools for the rebuild of our ruin, such as a generator, an angle grinder, screws, clay and straw...whatever's left will go for trees.
