Story
In January 2019 Gemma was diagnosed with a Stage 4 brain tumour and is currently undergoing an intensive chemo and radiography programme. She was diagnosed after feeling unwell. The doctors originally thought that the tumour was benign, but after doing more tests it was revealed that it was Grade 4 so she needed to start treatment straight away.
Gemma and her family are now looking into alternative treatments to get the best possible outcome for herself, family, and friends.
Gemma is 38 and lives in Marton with her husband, former footballer Graeme, and her children Grayson, 6 and Hadley, 3.
Gemma is one of those rare characters who touches your soul with her presence the moment you meet her. She always has time for everyone no matter how busy her own life is, and her positive outlook throughout this journey has inspired so many.
I was introduced to Gemma at the gym I attend and I was instantly drawn to her energy. A few months later when I was appointed as a Mums In Business Association Coordinator I invited Gemma to become a member as I knew she would add so much value to the meetings. As soon as she walked in to the first meeting she lit up the room and her journey has been followed by many women in the group. She is truly an inspiration.
On the 27th October group of over 30 people dared themselves to walk across red hot coals that burn at about 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit for this beautiful lady.
All fire walking was overseen by ‘UK Firewalk ’ – a professional company led by Scott Bell who provided training for participants and ensured all health and safety elements of the walk are taken care of.
Please help us reach our goal so that we can contribute to Gemma's alternative treatments and expert medical advice. She deserves it 💛
Thanks in advance 😘
