Story
EVEREST ENGLAND
Revd Peter Owen Jones is going to set off to walk the height of Mount Everest in England in one continuous quest. Starting on Brae hill in Cornwall I will be making my way northwards via Dartmoor, Exmoor, the Mendips. the Malvern hills and hopefully ending on Scafell Pike in Cumbria. To my knowledge this has never been done before. I won't be taking a rest day and will walk whatever the weather. I am raising money for an extension to one of the churches I serve, Saint Peters in Firle in East Sussex. Firle is a small village of one hundred and seventy people and we now have the go ahead to put in some loos and a small kitchen area in the church so that it can be used in the future to hold events and raise money for many other charities. This is a very big project for a small Sussex village and so we are all of us doing different things to raise the funds. For this project, I am walking up the total height of Everest which is 8,848 metres ( 29,030 feet).
Your support and generosity would make such a difference. Thank you for reading this.
all my love, Peter Owen Jones
