I've raised £10000 to First Aid Ukraine

Due to the unjustified and horrifying conflict in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Embassy and the Ukrainian Medical Association (UK) have released an urgent appeal for medical equipment, therapies, and trauma medical supplies and kits. There are now massive shortages, which will only worsen as the war progresses.
Working with Newcastle University and Medical School, our initiative aims to procure much needed first aid and medical supplies to send into Ukraine for distribution amongst areas most affected. Funds will go towards the purchasing, packaging, and shipment, of medical supplies to the Ukrainian border and into Ukraine.
To help manage this complex logistical exercise we are working with the national Medical Aid Ukraine organisation who have setup a storage and transportation pipeline into and around the borders of Ukraine.
As a community in the North East, East Midlands, and the wider UK, we ask for your help in alleviating the toll inflicted upon the Ukrainian population during this humanitarian crisis.
Please donate today if you can.
• Each life-saving kit of supplies costs upwards of £500
• Each package will contain the most essential trauma relief first aid equipment
Supplies will include: Aseptic burn cream, Compression bandages, Trauma bandages , Tourniquets (C-A-T), Alcohol wipes , Ambu bags , Sterile gauze pads , General surgical instruments , Portable ventilators , Catheters , Haemostatic dressings , Thoracic bandages , Paraffin gauze dressings , Burn dressings , Eye pad dressings …
... And other medical supplies requested by the Ukrainian Medical Association (UK) that is in short supply.
First Aid Ukraine is a growing community of people from diverse backgrounds, all of whom desire to make a difference for those affected by the horrifying conflict. First Aid Ukraine was started by a family of British-Ukrainians based in Newcastle and Nottingham, UK, to provide medical aid to Ukraine through their connections in the UK medical sector. Many of us have family and friends in Ukraine, we cannot sit idly by as we hear of lives and livelihoods destroyed every day.
• Donating to our Just Giving page for supply procurement
• Sharing support of our page and mission on social media
• Volunteering any support (Please see our Facebook group page to get in touch)
We are working with Newcastle University and Medical School whilst collaborating with trusts and healthcare supply providers to source medical supplies.
These will then be collected, packaged and shipped to the borders and onwards into Ukraine by means of air and land transport. We will be working closely with Medical Aid Ukraine to streamline storage and transportation logistics, plugging into their logistics network such as trans-European supply convoys whenever necessary. We also intend to explore other ways to send medical supplies into affected areas, such as with the help of local and volunteer organisations.
In addition, we intend to organise University volunteer efforts to help fundraise, assemble packages and spread awareness.
Any excess donations will be redirected to DEC member charities for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
