Story

As many of you know, we have been working hard on the dream of creating a new scout hut — a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space where our young people can learn, grow, and thrive together.

Unfortunately, our building firm has gone into liquidation with around 5 weeks worth of work left to finish, leaving our scout hut unfinished, It’s a heartbreaking setback that none of us wanted to hear due to the effort an time it had taken to get the project off the ground this is truly heartbreaking for us.

The structure stands there, a symbol of what we’ve worked for, but also a reminder that our scouts are still without a proper home.

But we cannot, and will not, give up. Our beavers, cubs an scouts deserve a safe space — a place where they can gather, build friendships, learn skills for life, and create memories they’ll carry forever.

That’s why today, we are reaching out to you — our friends, our neighbours, our wider community. We are appealing for your help. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, every single contribution will bring us closer to finishing what we started. Together, we can raise the funds needed to make the hut safe for our young people once again.

This is more than just bricks and mortar. This is about giving our young people somewhere to belong. A place to feel proud of. A space that says: you matter, you’re valued, and you have a future here.

So please, if you can, stand with us and support our scout group. Help us turn this unfinished building back in to a much needed space once again.

Thank you.
