Some people are Givers.

Some people are Takers.

Some people are just Grumpy Monsters who take up space and spew toxic rage.

Those of us who know J know that she is definitely the first sort of person - and we're lucky to count her as a friend.

Despite being a busy business woman and inspirational mum; she always has time for her friends - to listen to our issues, help solve our problems or share a laugh, make memories and lead us on adventures!

That's why we were all so happy when she hooked up with another Great Giver who lavished her with the attention and affection she needed and deserved after going through quite a rough patch in life.

And why his sudden passing last month is all the more devastating and heart breaking for everyone who knows and loves J.

G swooped J off her feet in a whirlwind of romance with the steadiness of a lifelong friend. This is the first Christmas without him.

A few of us wanted to find a way to give something special to our wonderful, generous friend.

The idea is to have an artist that she loves create a piece of work that depicts aspects of J’s life before, during and after G. It will include representations of her friends and family and the girls.

The artist, Fran Giffard, is local to South London. She draws birds on pages of her personal diaries blending text into art beautifully. Each piece is an original and is both personal with her notes and mental meanderings; and captivating in their ability to capture the movement and life of these beautiful creatures – from hummingbirds and flamingos to exotic birds from afar or everyday robins and yellow finches.

We’d like to give this to J as a Christmas gift showing her how much we all love her.

Anything over the target will be donated in G’s name for heart attack victims.
