I'm raising £1000 to Purchase a Defibrilator for Firstsource, Middlesbrough.

I have looked into this and the nearest registered AED is at Richer Sounds, which is 4 minutes away on foot (each way). This means that it will take, as least, 8 minutes to get this AED. A patient only had 10 [golden] minutes for effective CPR to be performed before their chances of survival are virtually nothing; for every 1 minute that a person is in cardiac arrest and effective/efficient CPR is not being performed, their chances of survival decrease by 10%.
Having a Defibrillator would make CPR a lot more effective if this situation was to occur.
Because of this, I would like to conduct some fundraising to try and raise the money in order to be able to purchase an AED; and if enough money is raised, other resuscitation equipment. This equipment would be suitable for our First Aider’s to use with the training they have received, and would the AED (only) would be suitable for a non-trained person to use. The pricing for the equipment is outlined in the ‘Costs & Pricing’ Section.
Fundraising ideas include:
Spare change buckets, Dress down day, Guess the sweets, Raffle, Sponsored silence, Bake sale, Arm wrestling contest, Car washing, Habit boxes, Email bingo, Balloon pop, Ugly sweater day, Membership auction and Voucher/Coupon auction.
I will also contact the council for funding, as they have grants available if we put this on the pubic register.
My aim is to raise enough money to buy an AED, and maybe even some extra resuscitation equipment for the Firstsource building at Fountain Court, Middlesbrough. This is in order to protect staff and provide a safer environment in case of the tragic event of a heart attack or cardiac arrest.
