I've raised £6420 to Help the Poorest of the Poor in Rwanda To provide fishing nets, repair/rebuild damaged housing in addition to our usual assistance

When our charity shop closed last year due to the pandemic, I used the free time that I had to start climbing the 214 'Wainwrights'. These are all the fells in the Lake District that appear in the 7 Wainwright guide books. I now have 23 left to climb. I hope to raise £6420 ie £30 for each of the 214 Wainwright fells through sponsorship. This will help compensate for our loss of income since our shop closed. Our charity aims to help the 'Poorest of the Poor' in Rwanda in the ares of Health, Education, Food and Shelter.
One of our contacts in Rwanda, Father Placide, recently told us:
"People here are very hungry. The lives of the people from Nkombo are based on fishing in Lake Kivu, they beg if possible to get fishing nets. One fishing net can cost £550 to be used by two fishermen. We really beg you because the people are very hungry and they are very poor. This can help us to fight against malnutrition that is facing our children on Nkombo island"
Can you please help us to raise funds for these fishing nets which are so desperately needed.
In another area of Rwanda we have also received urgent requests for help with housing. As you can see from the photos these people really are in the most desperate need. Please help us to help them
