Weʼve raised £676 to urgently pay for Tomatis therapy for a lady facing eviction from her home.

Funded on Tuesday, 31st January 2017

    Story

Do something amazing today and give £18.46 now to buy a Tomatis therapy session for J.

This is the most urgent case on Fit 2 Learn’s books that doesn’t have funding for support.

J is a lovely lady, who despite a horrific childhood and serious mental health issues, does lots to help her local community through music.
Sadly J is facing eviction from her housing association home as she is a hoarder. This is due to the childhood trauma she experienced.

The housing association have been unhelpful, bordering on hostile, but we are determined to help J.

We believe the Tomatis therapy http://www.tomatis.com/ and other support Fit 2 Learn can provide can help J to overcome some of the problems she faces.

We want to raise £1,200. This will pay for the equipment, supervision time and support through the therapy. The therapy typically consists of 4-6 rounds of listening therapy of 13 day blocks.

Based on five rounds, the approx. cost of the therapy is around £18.46 per session.

If you have any questions about the therapy then please do let me know. I promise to keep you informed of J's progress and how the therapy goes.

It is hard to put in words the difference this therapy could make to J's life. Every penny counts and I hope you will be able to give.

    Many thanks

    Charlotte

We are now over the £800 mark. Thank you! We also met with Fit2Learn and they have been able to start the therapy which is fab.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. We have also received around £100 in cash contributions meaning we are around the £700. Fingers crossed we can raise the final £500 before the end of January!

Please note, Catherine isn't J's social worker, but a social worker who knows J. Apologies for any confusion.

I have helped Fit 2 Learn set up this page, as my foster daughter has greatly benefited from Fit 2 Learn's services. Luckily we were able to pay for the therapy directly and now want to help someone who is not so fortunate.
