Round of Alford FKT — to support the Alford Bull Runners

Why this matters:

It will be exactly 1 year that we set up Alford Bull Running Club in 2024 because Donside deserves a friendly, welcoming home for runners of all paces. We have done just that, with almost 40 runners coming to a session every week from 5 years to 70 years! How cool is that?! However, we need more funds to unlock more juniors into the club, provide them with opportunities to excel and ensure there are no barriers to enabling their participation.

This year, I also turn 40 so I’m celebrating with a 100km Round of Alford FKT attempt and inviting you to back the Bulls by donating or running part of the route with me. Your support keeps the club accessible, safe and fun.

The challenge:

On Friday 5th September starting at 6am at Donview Car Park, I will attempt the Fastest Known Time (FKT) Alford Round loop that takes in all the big hills around Alford - 39 hill tops and 12,200ft of ascent - roughly 100km(ish) with trail and quiet‑road sections.
